Integrating Activity 2021

Throughout my life, I’ve experienced a multitude of experiences which have deeply affected my being. As the years have gone by, I’ve realized just how much I’d let my own mistakes shape how I chose to live my life and have since changed the way I deal with my problems. I felt it was important to discuss the concept that hardships don’t make life unworthy of living. When we first discussed this project and the theme of “letter to my future self,” I saw it as the perfect opportunity to incorporate my knowledge and talent in music through the creation of a song and explore the topic by bringing up certain common conflicts that other teens or young adults face, such as feeling the need to escape your problems and feeling as though you’ve disappointed those around you. Therefore, the song I have written is meant to come off as a personal experience with struggle, and the chorus encourages the listeners to see the brighter side of a difficult situation.
