Introduction

Time, dreams and self identity. Three themes that are closely related, and yet still allow for a vast inventory of interpretations. As young, creative folk who grapple with all three different themes at the same time, we have a lot to say about our unique experiences with each. Time, whether it be intertwined with other themes of our class exhibition, gives us the freedom to explore concepts ranging from growth to nostalgia, allowing our audience to reflect. Since we have these personal and insightful range of perspectives, there is a lot to think about as a viewer. As for the dreams, it is something that is said to be a path to the unconscious mind. It can also be seen in a more direct way, as an aspiration that we strive for to better ourselves. There is a strong divide between dreams and reality. Exploring these themes allows students to have endless possibilities, reaching anywhere from the wants that one may strive for, to the hidden secrets that lay below our conscious selves.
